The cashew nut can be viewed differently from the other types of nuts. First of all, many people attest to the fact that this nut is much sweeter than the other nuts we are used to. Cashews can also be eaten as snacks or can be used as a raw ingredient in the preparation of different dishes, deserts and even pastries making them very versatile.


When you eat cashew nuts, you should not only savour them for the moment because they are indeed delicious but you should also take the time to realize how healthy they are. Some people are worried about too much intake of nuts due to their assumed connectivity to weight issues and heart problems. The good thing is that cashew nuts do not really contain much cholesterol compared to other nuts. This fact can definitely erase the worries related to cholesterol in nuts, thus, making it a great ingredient in dishes or as stand-alone snacks.

There are many advantages to eating these nuts. First of all, they contain a lot of vitamins and minerals and that is one reason why we should ensure consuming these nuts regularly. Cashew nuts are also known to be great sources of fibre. As we know, fibre helps our digestive system function well. Cashew nut fibre allows us to digest our food better, thus, helping easy bowel movement. If you have issues concerning regular and easy bowel movement, then it would be advisable to consume fruit, vegetables and nuts that contain much fibre. Iron is also contained in cashew nuts. If you lack iron in your diet, then you become an anaemic. Having anaemia is a condition wherein there are not enough red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout your body. If you are anaemic, then your other organs can be affected and the level of energy you have from day to day can also be lowered. That is why proper oxygen amount should be ensured and that can be done by eating fruit, vegetables and nuts that can contain good amounts of iron.

Cashew nuts also contain copper. The main purpose of this nutrient is to assist the body in its iron absorption. As we have said, iron is one crucial body element and if taken with food containing copper, then your body can absorb the former better.

Manganese and magnesium are other minerals found in cashew nuts. These two minerals help tissue and cell formation. If you want your skin to look better or if you want your hair to grow well, then proper cell and tissue formation can help achieve these goals. Phosphorus and zinc, which are also necessary for the functioning of our body, can also be found in cashew nuts. Riboflavin and thiamine are also found in these tasty nuts and can help develop good eyesight, healthy skin and also improves our immune system.
